Camp Fire Nature TIKES is a new program where families with toddlers and pre-school age children (Ages 1-5) experience nature together. Once a month on the fourth Saturday, a Camp Fire USA facilitator will lead fun and educational nature-related activities, introducing them to nature-related stories via children’s books, and laying the foundation for a lifetime of healthy lifestyle activities. This creative program provides toddler and pre-school age youth with lessons that promote early childhood literacy, kindergarten preparedness, and access to the outdoors while building confidence in young families so they can connect their children to nature is a safe and supportive environment.
Camp Fire’s core values include a belief in the power of nature and the importance it plays in the development of children by awakening a child’s senses, curiosity, and desire to learn.
